Although no research has been conducted into its healing properties, the fact that this has no side effects itself should encourage you to try it out. After all what bad can it do?
Amongst all the flaws of this techniques the most fatal is that this may not work for everybody. Some people find it very difficult to enter their altered state of consciousness. These people should try to relax by being in a quiet room and listening to soft music. They can also think of thoughts and ideas which are happy. They should also consult quality guide books on this subject and if possible consult a trained hypnotherapist, who can find a way to help them.
The bottom line is, some call self hypnosis as trash, some call it gold. But it is impossible to know if it is trash or gold for you unless you try it out.
